Product packaging is part bio-based, acting to preserve both your new garment and environment. Once opened, please discard responsibly in a compost facility to allow full disappearance within 24 weeks.

Vegea 'grape leather'

VEGEA is an alternative to animal leather made from grape waste material.

Made from agri-waste

VEGEA was born out of a desire to repurpose waste from the Italian winemaking industry. The solid remains of grapes after pressing (including the skins, pulp, seeds and stems) are combined with vegetable oil and water-based polyurethane (PUD).
Renewable and recycled

The bio-based component is then coated onto cotton, resulting in a durable material made of more than 70% renewable and recycled raw materials.
Circular by design

Our sneakers are comfortable, cushioned and extend the use of the grapes—creating a more circular material system.

Packaging

We are currently exploring a range of materials to better protect your products and the planet—from the compostable TIPA® bags you know and love, to recycled plastic bags and reusable cotton garment bags.

A work in progress

We are always searching for the best packaging solutions, valuing progress over perfection. Our current experimentation is by no means perfect, but we look forward to sharing exciting updates in the near future.
